Stopped by here 6 years ago and had the best experience but forgot to write a review. This time I came in a few weeks ago and had to be sure to write a review this time. Best Meat and 3 place in the South!! Fried chicken is spectacular!! I describe the service as being treated like a family member they haven't seen for a while. Southern hospitality is great but Alabama hospitality is exceptional.
We had seen an article about Martin's being a great meat and three. We were on our way home from the beach so we swung by for lunch. It was some of the best fried chicken I have eaten at a restaurant. It was cooked crispy but moist on the inside. The cornbread muffins were hot and delicious with butter. Served with three sides, it was worth stopping in for!
Great timely service with delicious southern cooking! A meat and 3 worth the trip! Fried chicken was amazing, Mac n cheese was great, and our server was super friendly and helped us very well as first time guests. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service, delicious southern meals, the tea taste just like granny’s, and this establishment is very clean which is a major plus, esp the bathrooms!!
Good vibes, location, and food. Had the Fried chicken with three sides. Restaurant has shorter hours on Sunday but we were seated fairly quickly. Food came out fast and tasted great. Sides were good as well and overall good portion. Most of the people around us were taking the leftovers to go, so I would say the portions are on the more generous side. Chickens were cooked well, and sides with cornbread were good as well. Staffs were very nice and helpful. Parking available.
The warmest hometown feeling you’ll find— simple menu yet so many choices. Fried chicken was perfect, mashed potatoes and gravy.. perfect, friendly waitstaff. Thanks for a great lunch!

We would give this place 10 stars if we could! Amazing, down home cooking with some of the best fried chicken in the south! We had chicken, wings for me, dark meat for hubs. Sides were cheese grits, string beans, collards, slaw and okra corn and tomatoes. Delicious corn muffins came to the table with our drinks. Drink choices are sweet and unsweetened tea, lemonade and water. Somehow we got lucky and hit on a rare slow day, so no wait for a seat right at noon. We drove two hours to give this place a try after reading rave reviews online. I can easily say we would make the trip again, just for the remarkable chicken!
